Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado we're gonna be taking a look at the UWS truck bed toolbox. Adding a toolbox is gonna give you more space but it also adds to the look. So this one is gloss black but we also have a bright aluminum option if that goes better with your truck. we're gonna have latches on both sides and it's very easy to undo from the side of your truck. And it opens up automatically, I like that, and the gas struts are gonna help with that. But notice on this side we don't have a locking core. more

UWS Truck Bed Toolbox Review - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado

Right here is the UWS crossover style toolbox, and we're gonna be taking a look at it on my dad's 2013 Chevrolet Silverado. The UWS toolbox comes with a set of keys, so when it's locked, no one's gonna be able to get in it, so all your stuff's gonna stay in there. But then when we unlock it, just like that, it's very, very easy to open it up from the side, and there's only gonna be a lock on the driver's side. Usually I put all my tools in there and then whenever I'm ready to rip, I walk around, lock it up, and then get in the truck and go. So there's only gonna be a locking core on that side, which is totally fine with me. And you can close it from the outside of your truck really easily. more

DeeZee Toolbox Review - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado- Video

DeeZee Toolbox Review - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on this 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be testing the Dee Zee Truck Bed Toolbox, part number DZ8537. This is a nice sturdy aluminum toolbox, so you know it's not going to rust, and it also is kind of unique in how it sits in the truck bed, where it has this lip on this side here that actually fits perfectly up against the cab of the truck and still is able to open the chest completely. It's not like the toolboxes that lay over the bed rails, so therefore it has a low profile and you're not going to be able to see it if you're just looking at the truck from the outside. It does lock and has a paddle handle, and it has about 6.4 cubic feet of space to work with, plus it has this metal tray here that can slide back to forth to store your smaller items. This is perfect from anything for tools to tool bags, gym bags, whatever you're going to be carrying with you on the job site. It measures 37 1/8th inch long by 19 inches wide by 15 inches tall. There you have it, for the Dee Zee Utility Chest Truck Bed Toolbox, part number DZ8537 on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. more

Today on this 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, were going to do a test fit of part number UWS00156 from UWS. This is a truck bed toolbox, narrow crossover style. The dimensions of the box are 69 inches long by 12 inches wide and nine and a quarter inches deep, and above the bedrails is about two inches in height. Well start off our test fit by putting it into the bed, and well scoot it up as close as we can to the edge of the bed, and then well open up our lid to check for clearance. Now, it looks like with the box pushed already up against the bed, we have plenty of clearance for the cab. That measurement will be two and three quarter inches. more

TruXedo TonneauMate Toolbox Installation - 2011 Chevy Silverado- Video

TruXedo TonneauMate Toolbox Installation - 2011 Chevy Silverado

Today on this 2011 Chevy Silverado we are going to install part number TX1117416-458 from TruXedo. This is TruXedos TonneauMate truck bed toolbox. And this part number also contains a special clamp kit for GM trucks that come with the cargo management systems. First off, this is what the toolbox looks like when installed on the vehicle. And next we will show you the rail system that gets clamped on. You can see how the rail system attaches to the truck bed itself and how it does not interfere with the factory cargo system. As shown here, we have the driver side installed. And we will go ahead and show you how to install the passenger side. The first thing we need to do is loosen up the factory cargo system. In the corner towards the cab there is a plastic cover that has to be removed so we can loosen up the rail. Let us go ahead and do that first. And there are three bolts: one, two and there is our third bolt. So what we will do is go ahead and loosen all of these bolts. We will not remove them because we do not want to lose the assembly that is behind the sheet metal of the bed. Back all of these about an inch on all three of them. Then you can pull the rail back and you can see how much bolt you have left over on the inside. So here you can see the bolt where it goes into the assembly that holds everything together. Just keep loosening it up until you barely have one or two threads showing. That will give us plenty of room to work around it. And these are all three identical on the rail. 1:23 more
